Once upon a dream

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, that gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

This is a new version of the song that Aurora sings in the forest in the classical cartoon movie "The Sleeping Beauty". This version is dark and lugubrious, far too different from the original one, which was naive but delightful. The singer is Lana del Rey, a talented young artist with a exceptional voice, who was selected to sing this new version for the movie "Maleficent". Even though, her albums are full of destruction, dead and drama, she is one of my favourites singers. Personally, I've found this new version of the song, much more interesting than the original one.

Young and Beautiful

I've seen the world
Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant
And Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

I've seen the world, lit it up
As my stage now
Channeling angels in the new age now
Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll
The way you play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

Dear Lord, when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let him in
Father tell me if you can
All that grace, All that body
All that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I'm not young and beautiful?

This is one of my favourite songs. The lyrics are marvellous, simple but consistent. In very few words it expressess so much. The singer is captivating and wonderful. Something that I would like to highlight is the incredible video for this song. Well, this song makes me feel so in love, because that is the kind of love that I have. That is the way that I feel I am being loved. And feel something like that is amazing. Nothing will beat the love that we share, not even time. I really love the man who promise to be by my side for the time we had in Earth. And the description that the singer make of the man that she loves matches perfectly with my lover. I am so lucky.

To talk about this song I have to mention that at first it didn't like me because its chorus sounded strange or ugly, but something started to like me about it and then it became one of my favourites. This song related with relationships make me think about time. We as human beings spend so little time in the world, I would like to be eternal, infinite, but it is not possible. There are materials like diamonds that last more than us, humans, and that is unfair for me. We are star powder, I know that the energy is transformed into something else, but it is still unfair. May be I feel this way because I am giving me a second opportunity to succeed, to do something on my own, something that make me feel proud of who I am. But it is just a suposition to believe that is the only thing that will ever make me feel good about myself. It is complicated. I am a woman with a lots of dreams. Now I've been very interested in politics. In fact,  I would like to be the futur president of Argentina, I really like to have that opportunity. Well, that is all for now. Bye.

Skyfall

This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I'm stolen
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
At skyfall
Skyfall is where we start
A thousand miles and poles apart
Where worlds collide and days are dark
You may have my number, you can take my name
But you'll never have my heart
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
Where you go I go
What you see I see
I know I'd never be me
Without the security
Of your loving arms
Keeping me from harm
Put your hand in my hand
And we'll stand
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
Let the sky fall
We will stand tall
At skyfall

Well, this is not a song that I actually like, but I liked it the day I listened to it. It is kind of ambiguous, because I don't understand if she wanted to stay with him or not. If she is ending a relationship and begining a new one. Totally clueless. Well, as it was a song written for a movie, maybe that is the problem with this song. Again the singer is amazing, her voice is superb, I really enjoy her music and I'm thankful for being able to hear. Now I'm exagerating. Well the following words are the ones that I did not know what they really mean. Now I'm starting to write faster, lucky me!!!

Hurt

Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face
You told me how proud you were, but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
Ohhh ohhh
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again
Sometimes I want to call you, but I know you won't be there
I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
Some days I feel broke inside, but I won't admit
Sometimes I just want to hide 'cause it's you I miss
You know it's so hard to say goodbye when it comes to this
Would you tell me I was wrong?
Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me?
Are you proud of who I am?
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes and see you looking back
I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself
If I had just one more day, I would tell you how much that
I've missed you since you've been away
Oh, it's dangerous
It's so out of line to try to turn back time
I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself
By hurting you

This song breaks my heart. Well the singer is amazing, and the lyrics suits me again. Will I ever publish something happy ? I hope yes, one day. Sadly, I understand all the words from this lyric, so I haven't learnt anything from it. I believe that I still have problems with the prepositions, I should check them, again.

Titanium

You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium

Cut me down
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium

Stone-hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard as bulletproof glass

You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium

I've been having some troubles with the editing of this blog because I don't really know how to make the proper changes on it. Today, I want to share another song that makes me think a lot in how strong I've been my entire life, it's as it had been written just for me, but I can't be so selfish, there are much more people out there with more serious problems. I'm just a consequence, if I can say so about me. There were so many losses that it is impossible to quantify them. I'd been struggling with me all my life, trying not to go mad, trying to succeed. I feel that it is so much easier now than before, although every door is closed. Ironic, don't you think? I really hate to write about this, but luckily nobody ever read it, ever. I have only one choice, to be the best of me or be the best, nothing more than that, like titanium.

Let's talk about something else, for example the word that I've learnt from this song, which caused me a lot of curiosity: ricochet, which means as a transitive verb, to rebound at least once from a surface and as a noun, it means: the act or an instance of ricocheting.

First Love

So little to say but so much time,
Despite my empty mouth the words are in my mind.
Please wear the face, the one where you smile,
Because you lighten up my heart when I start to cry.
Forgive me first love, but I'm tired.
I need to get away to feel again.
Try to understand why, don't get so close to change my mind.
Please wipe that look out of your eyes, it's bribing me to doubt myself
Simply, it's tiring.
This love has dried up and stayed behind,
And if I stay I'll be alive,
Then choke on words I'd always hide.
Excuse me first love, but we're through.
I need to taste the kiss from someone new.
Forgive me first love, but I'm too tired.
I'm bored to say the least and I, I lack desire.
Forgive me first love, forgive me first love, forgive me first love,
Forgive me first love forgive me, forgive me first love, forgive me first love

SONGWRITERS

This song is one of my favourites because it reminds me of how love is sometimes smashed by routine. Routine is capable of kill a great love in so many ways and sometimes the lovers instead of trying to save their love, they just decide to end it for good. In my opinion, I believe that there is a certain person who will  perfectly fix with another, like a perfect match, but it is possible to try many relationships before finding that special person or maybe you will never find it. Being in a relationship for a long time is also difficult, it is a hard work to make it works, but it is not impossible. However, if you are involved in a stormy relationship, you should finish it because it will only make you unhappy.
I've learnt a word in this song, which I don't know if it is a phrasal verb but let me show it to you. Be through: this means ,as a verb, something like to end, to finish, to conclude, etc.
I have many doubts about the lyrics because I don't know if they are OK. Well, someday I will be such a great listener that it wouldn't represent a problem for me.
